It’s our one-year anniversary! The Waterworld Mermaids have dyed the lagoon hot pink, added glitter and cranked up the dance music for our weeklong anniversary celebration. Each day we’ll be hosting a mermaid scavenger hunt. At the bottom of each day’s post you’ll find three questions about the mermaids who blogged that day, the answers to which can be found on this site. Answer the questions and be entered to win that day’s prize. Plus, on Friday we’ll be giving away a $130 Visa gift card. -Kerri is such a diehard Steelers fan that the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette published a story she wrote about it and she got fan mail from all over the world!

-Loni has two cures for being painfully shy—just do like she did and promote a travelling male review show or join the Navy! She’s done them both!
-Dana may be one of the littlest mermaids, but she is a former rescue EMT! And therefore I’ve appointed her this week’s official glittery pink pond lifeguard!
-Susan once fooled Parisian waiters into thinking she was a food critic and got slammin’ service and free drinks as a result!
-Alethea celebrated her 1-1-11 birthday last year, sparking a tiara-wearing frenzy across the nation!
-Avery once locked herself out of the house while wearing only – wait for it – a robe!
-Pintip is a hardcore foodie and has a Top 5 Dining Experiences list spanning the country!
-Diana used to sing and perform Gilbert and Sullivan light operas and other musicals onstage!
-Masha used to be a TV weather gal, but those tapes are secured at Fort Knox!

Another day, another attempt at an entry. Here goes:
1. Avery Flynn is working on the last two books of her Layton Family series. I’m curious about them, so I’ll look them up later on.
2. Carlene Love Flores had a day with Depeche Mode. Nothing like a fantasy hang-out with a rock group. I’d like to spend 24 hours with Green Day, but I probably wouldn’t survive the experience.
3. Diana Belchase thinks Wonder Woman should claim the ability to look good in a bathing suit as a super power. Course, a lot of super heroines would be running to stake that. (My money’s on She-Hulk and the Scarlet Witch. Everyone would say Supergirl or Big Barda or Storm or even Wasp.)
We support the curious around here, WA, and especially the repeat offenders. Thanks for stopping in again and GOOD LUCK! I’ll lay odds that you would survive that 24 hours with Green Day and do it in style! Here’s to a future with that happening 🙂

Hello! Thanks for doing this again. This is so much fun and much better than actually getting work done this week. (Don’t tell my husband I said that!)

2. Carlene Love Flores— a day with Depeche Mode. (I am so jealous. Depeche Mode is one of the first concerts I saw back in 1988. In fact, I still have the ORIGINAL concert t-shirt from the Music for the Masses tour. I guard that shirt with my life!)
3. Diana Belchase believes Wonder Woman’s other superpower is the ability to look good in a bathing suit. We’ll just say that I wouldn’t want to be sunbathing anywhere near that woman on the beach.

Good Morning Mermaids! It’s a beautiful day here in my purple glitter pond (ok, so I am in Wisconsin). Man, its hard to come up with just one spice name for me. But since all my friends call me the sparkle (or glitter) queen, guess it can be Sparkley Spice. Teehee.
