Let Me See (These Three Words, #2)letmesee1l__78370.1454031809.300.450

Are you sure you’re ready to see what’s inside? Two hearts beating… Hundreds of scars in need of hiding… One dark night to shine some light on their healing… Sometimes, it just takes one very patient man, one dimly lit room and one safe set of arms. (18 and up)

Ask A Mermaid

Music or Silence (while you write)?
Music! A song is like a miniature book all in itself and I find that very inspiring. I love writing to Kings of Leon,  Casey James and Mikky Ekko especially, and also the artist Clem Leek.

What weird food do you like?
I’m not a picky eater. If it’s good for me, I’ll generally eat it regardless of taste. But a favorite snack I’m not sure many people would find pleasing is a peanut butter and pickle sandwich.

How many novels/short stories/screenplays/poems/etc have you published? Altogether, I’m the proud author of nine published books. There are six titles in my Sin Pointe series, two in my These Three Words series, and one stand alone called The Boss. Poems and short stories are something I love to write as well, but those are unpublished works. I try and sneak snippets of that stuff onto my Instagram account every now and then. 😀

How much do you write every day?
I don’t have a set amount of writing time every day that I keep track of, mostly because every day is different for me. As long as I’m seeing myself producing writing works consistently, I feel good about that. But full disclosure and because honesty is the only thing that helps us all, I definitely have periods of time where I don’t write at all. What matters is that I always come back to it when there is a story to tell.

How much do you WISH you could write every day?
I think I’ve got a pretty good routine. Need time to go out and experience life too!

What are you working on now?

A Christmas novella about a warrior class of wish-granting reindeer and a mystery thriller co-written with a friend.

If you could write like one author, who would it be?
My writing hero is Sherrilyn Kenyon–I’m drawn to the way she does tragedy and redemption.

If you could be one superhero, or have one superpower, who/what would it be?
But I’m already a mermaid, what’s more super than that??

If you could be on any reality tv show, what would it be? Kicking and Screaming. I think it would be very cool to be paired with a survival expert and have to learn all that stuff, and maybe rub off some of my goofiness onto them.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done? Bungee jumped with my son!

What’s the coolest thing you’re about to do?
Continue to share my stories with people who are hopefully touched by them.

Name three things on your List of Things to Do Before You Die.
1. Dedicate a published book to my dad (check!)
2. See my son achieve something that makes him happy in his life (check!)
3. Have a fabulous 80th birthday party with family & friends while we watch the northern lights. Mark your calendars–11/16/2054 😉
